SciELO Data: editorial data policies in SciELO Brazil journals

The Seminar “SciELO Data: Editorial data policies in the journals of the SciELO Brazil collection” will address the current state of adoption of practices related to the management and sharing of research data by the journals of the SciELO Brazil collection.

About

Launched in August 2022, SciELO Data is a multidisciplinary repository for the deposit, preservation and dissemination of research data related to articles submitted, approved and published in journals in the SciELO Network or manuscripts deposited in SciELO Preprints.

In the context of SciELO Data, journals are responsible for managing their repositories (Dataverses) within SciELO Data – with the support of the SciELO Data team – allowing research data to be shared in accordance with SciELO guidelines, the editorial policies of each journal and specificities of the respective research communities.

The seminar will present a survey of the state of updating of the editorial policies of the journals in the SciELO Brazil collection with regard to guidance to authors regarding the management and sharing of research data underlying the published articles. The seminar will be coordinated by Paulo Nascimento Neto (urbe. Revista Brasileira de Gestão Urbana) and comments by Nathália Helena Azevedo (Ensaio Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências (Belo Horizonte)), and José Augusto Salim (Biota Neotropica).
