Data literacy

Data literacy has become a necessity for researchers, students and information professionals who need to carry out any study related to data.

The main objective of this webinar is to introduce authors and editors, particularly from the SciELO Network, to the treatment, analysis and visualization of data in a simple way.

About

Current information technologies have caused society to generate large amounts of data when interacting in applications, social networks, web pages and in general with any device that uses the Internet to obtain and exchange information for themselves and with other people. The data generated can be of different types depending on their origin and the sector of society that generates them. It is for this reason that the interest and need for data studies has increased.

Data literacy has become a necessity for researchers, students and information professionals who need to conduct data-related studies.

The curricula or the training of professionals itself have somehow not thoroughly integrated specialized training in data processing.
