Tanja Niemann holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Leipzig. She first joined the Université de Montréal in 2006 as publishing coordinator at the Centre d’édition numérique (2006-2009) and director of digital publishing at the Centre d’expertise numérique (2010-2011). She is now serving as executive director for the Érudit Consortium since 2012, and has thus been involved for many years in the academic communities to promote the adoption of open access for the dissemination and democratization of knowledge. She is managing with Érudit Canada’s unique research infrastructure for social sciences and humanities in support of Diamond Open Access publishing.
