Trabalhou em pesquisa e desenvolvimento no Instituto Adolpho Lutz, da Secretaria de Estado da Sa\u00fade de S\u00e3o Paulo (1986-1989). Suas \u00e1reas de interesse em pesquisa incluem Anatomia Patol\u00f3gica, patologia e imunopatologia da leptospirose, esquistossomose, paracoccidioidomicoses e imunopatologia de doen\u00e7as infeciosas em geral.<\/p><p>Thales de Brito publicou mais de 170 artigos em peri\u00f3dicos especializados, al\u00e9m de in\u00fameros livros, cap\u00edtulos de livros e trabalhos em congressos.
