Considera o SciELO um motivo de orgulho em sua trajet\u00f3ria profissional, pois colocou o melhor da produ\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica ao alcance da comunidade acad\u00eamica.<\/p><p>Charles Pessanha \u00e9 graduado em Ci\u00eancias Sociais pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (1968), mestre pelo Instituto Universit\u00e1rio de Pesquisas do Rio de Janeiro (1981) e doutor em Ci\u00eancia Pol\u00edtica pela Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (1997). Tem p\u00f3s-doutorado pela Universidade de Londres, Reino Unido (2001-2002) e pela <em>\u00c9cole de Hautes \u00c9tudes en Science Sociales<\/em> de Paris, Fran\u00e7a (2012-2012). Em 2019, recebeu o Pr\u00eamio de Excel\u00eancia Acad\u00eamica, Gildo Mar\u00e7al Brand\u00e3o, da ANPOCS, na \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancia Pol\u00edtica. Na condi\u00e7\u00e3o de Editor, foi Presidente da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Brasileira de Editores Cient\u00edficos (ABEC).<\/p><p>Atualmente \u00e9 professor associado da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro-UFRJ, Editor Em\u00e9rito de DADOS &#8211; Revista de Ci\u00eancias Sociais O prof. Pessanha tem in\u00fameros artigos cient\u00edficos publicados em peri\u00f3dicos, livros e cap\u00edtulos de livros, bem como apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es em congressos.
