Era profissional da Sociedade Brasileira de Ci\u00eancia do Solo e desenvolvia seu trabalho no Instituto Agron\u00f4mico de Campinas, Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento de Solos e Recursos Ambientais. Seus interesses em pesquisa inclu\u00edam mineralogia e argilas, g\u00eaneses e morfologia.<\/p><p>Moniz publicou in\u00fameros artigos em peri\u00f3dicos especializados, livros, cap\u00edtulos de livros e trabalhos de congressos. Foi homenageado pela Sociedade Brasileira de Ci\u00eancia do Solo em seu 25\u00b0 Congresso Brasileiro, pelos 22 anos de dedica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Sociedade.
